Logistics Sales Agent/Logistics Full Service Agent

We are searching for passionate Logistics Agents with a strong desire to grow their own business utilizing our vast logistics resources.

We have two career paths for our Agents. The first path is the Sales Agent role which will have full operational support from our back office team. This person will find the freight opportunity and our operations team will move it. The second path is the Full Service Agent role that has ownership of sales and operations. The Full Service Agent will use our robust suite of tools to coordinate and move freight.

The ideal candidate will aggressively solicit both freight and carriers to support our fast-paced brokerage division. You will drive freight sales while maintaining client relationships by utilizing Bettaway Logistics’ services. This is a sales position which requires communication with both customer and carrier contacts. You will be directly responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, assessing client specific needs, promoting and selling Bettaway services, and maintaining sales goals and objectives.

We have our own asset based fleet as well as a vast network of carriers at your disposal.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Aggressively cultivate new sales leads to establish business
  • Sell and negotiate Bettaway Logistics’ services
  • Responsible for securing and maintaining new business
  • Provide quotes for current and prospective clients
  • Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions
  • Achieve individual and company goals
  • Work closely with Operations and Customer Service Managers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Have the drive, assertiveness, passion, and dedication to succeed
  • Ability to manage carrier relationships
  • Ability to onboard new customers
  • Strong DAT/load board knowledge

We have cutting edge technologies to support your sales efforts. (Web access for customers, EDI, Mobile Apps, etc.)

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) in general business, logistics, supply chain, or related field; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in sales in 3PL, Logistics, and/or general transportation is required.

Skill in the operation of software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sales CRM.
